2012 Launch of Together In Transition’s Website & Social Media

by Catherine Fritz on February 1, 2012

Greetings and Happy New Year! I’m a little late with the latter but my good wishes are still there. I’ve been out of touch with many of you as I went through my own transition and have begun helping as a caregiver to my Mom, who’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in the last year. That’s meant trying to continue doing this business I love while being in a much more isolated, quiet location. I now live in a community of 1,500 in central Texas about 1 ½ hours from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I plan to continue fostering my strong relationships I’ve built over the years in Los Angeles (you’ll be getting a call from me soon) and building new professional relationships in the DFW metro area. I’ve already been invited by the Alzheimer’s Association to serve as a Facilitator for a Caregiver Support Group here locally and as I did in LA, my plans will be to link my community service and resources for the benefit of clients, friends and family.

Much is still the same: my business and cell phone #s, and my LA PO Box #. I’ve included all that and the new information as well below. However, one way my business will change is a focus on using my own expertise and resources through Eldercare Advisory Services via the phone and internet. So much can be done these days through this medium. Another way it is changing is expanding my definition of Residential Transition to include services to create interim Transition Plans to help older adults maintain their independence in their own homes. And, be looking for Teleclasses that we’ll offer in the spring and summer on topics such as Documenting Your Life Records, Decluttering Your Paper Piles and Capturing Life Stories. Take a look at what else we’ve been busy with below:

I’m so excited to share with you today the launching of my new and improved Website at www.TogetherInTransition.com. It’s now in a new format called “WordPress” which allows me the ability to update it and make it much more dynamic for your needs! I’ve also made it easy to jump on my blog, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter sites right from the website.

And that’s not all – - I’m launching the Together In Transitions Blog at www.togetherintransition.com/blog  It will feature my thoughts and experiences working with caregivers and seniors as well as being a caregiver myself. Be sure to sign up for the RSS feed at www.feeds.feedburner.com/ TogetherInTransition.

And finally, today we’re launching my new and improved Social Media pages:

Like us on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/togetherintransition – This will be a great place for you to find like-minded adult children, caregivers, seniors and eldercare professionals. Everyday, you’ll see something new and interesting from me or one of the dozens of diverse subscribers.

Follow us on Twitter at: www.twitter.com/Catherine_Fritz – This is where I’ll make posts of important, short time-sensitive news, like maybe the link to an upcoming Alzheimer’s Association event, or referral to a great article on a seniors- related topic. Or, better yet – tweet me: @Catherine_Fritz with your news!

Join us at LinkedIn at: www.linkedin.com/in/catherinefritz – Are you an eldercare or other-related professional in any of the following fields: financial planning, tax preparation, estate planning, banking, real estate, senior movers, organizers, mediators, elderlaw attoryneys, etc.? If so, let’s make a “Connection” on LinkedIn and help each other’s organization grow.

Connect with us on Google+: www.plus.google.com/togetherintransition Check out the newest entry into the social networking phenomenon and Together In Transition’s participation on it.

The redesign and launching of my newsletter Together In Transition Today is coming soon. Be sure to watch your inbox for my first 2012 issue early this month!

At the beginning of this week, I was interviewed by Adam Avery on Senior Talk Radio! Log on to www.webtalkradio.net/shows/seniors-talk-radio to access many entertaining, educational and inspirational topics first hand. I’ll post the direct link for my interview on my blog and Facebook once it’s been posted for listening early next week.

I want to express a huge thanks and acknowledgement to my fabulous virtual assistant (VA) Brandy Nasi-Hernandez of www.ECOVirtualServices, who designed and created the systems and structure for all my content! If anyone is considering starting their presence on the web or social network sites, I can highly recommend her.

Sorry for the gap in communicating for a while, but thank you for understanding. I’m now experiencing both sides of eldercare, both as a professional and a caregiver. My hope is that it will help me see better your needs for products and services. And, at the end of each day, it gives me great comfort knowing that we continue Together, In Transition.

Sincerely,

Catherine Fritz
