Residential Transition Package
Are you living outside of Los Angeles or the DFW area but would love to accomplish what we do with our clients here? You can with this package! We provide advice, tools, worksheets, questionnaires and encouragement as you begin a similar process that we would take if our services were available in your town. We’ll be your ‘Virtual Senior Transition Specialist’, walking you through any or all of the following processes below. What will you receive? A package of worksheets, questionnaires, tools & documented practical advice along with up to 10 hours of practical residential transition expertise via phone that you can accomplish yourself, with support from Together in Transition.
- Placement: You’ll interview and filter downs a selection of residential communities that best meets the location, budget and care-level factors your loved one requires.
- Household downsizing: You’ll get templates and tools for measurement and placement of the important furniture and belongings that will go to the new residence. Other belongings will be organized for distribution to family, storage and/or charitable organizations.
- Move-day coordination: You’ll receive counseling on interviewing and selecting the best short- or long-haul mover, getting quotes and proof of liability insurance, and how to supervise the move-day activities with the least trauma and disruption to your loved ones.
- Decor in the new residential space: By capturing location of belongings and living patterns in the current household, it’ll be possible with our support to recreate those familiar patterns that are so important – - like eyeglasses on the right side of the bed nightstand, toothbrush on the left side of the bath sink faucet, etc.
- Flexibility to buy only the templates, tools, worksheets and questionnaire package without additional consultation
